The European Commission is preparing to use its “anti-coercion instrument” (ACI) in a possible retaliation to US President Donald Trump’s tariffs, according to a Financial Times (FT) report on Wednesday, citing two officials with knowledge of the plans. This would allow the EU to target US service sectors like Big Tech.
"All options are on the table," one of the officials stated, stressing that the ACI was the strongest response that could be made without going against international law.
